Pam Newman joined the RE/MAX conventions department in 2001 as corporate meeting planner, was promoted to manager of conventions in 2002 and director of conventions in 2004 and named Vice President, Event Management in January 2005.
The RE/MAX event management department oversees more than 400 events a year, including events in 12 company operated regions (COR). She is the ‘go-to’ person for getting things done efficiently and effectively. As the RE/MAX network grows, so does the number of activities that need top notch management, and Newman has proven her ability to deliver premier quality meetings and events.
Newman also supervises operations of the “RE/MAX Collection” (luxury properties) and is a key player in ensuring the highest quality in the organization and implementation of all the programs she manages.
Among the hundreds of events coordinated by the RE/MAX convention staff are two major events each year, the annual RE/MAX International convention for all members, conducted in late February and early March and the annual RE/MAX International Broker/Owner and Manager Conference normally held in August. Venues for these annual functions have included such cities as Las Vegas, Orlando, San Diego, Toronto, Montreal, Chicago, Denver and Boston.
For ten years prior to joining RE/MAX, Newman worked in a variety of positions with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts in Chicago and Denver, and Doubletree Hotels in Overland Park, Kan. She is a 1990 graduate of Southwest Missouri State University, Springfield, Missouri and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in hospitality and restaurant management.
